Project Future
I would love to support this game, but I'm not sure if there is an audience for this so for now I'm releasing this to move on creatively. However, if there was enough interest I will continue working on this project.

Hey, love the concept for the game!

Here's a few points of feedback after playing a few runs:

- The UX, even for simple graphics, could be improved a lot:

  • Rarity indicators for the cards would help a lot when selecting or looking at our deck.
  • Multiple cards (Rest/Saute, Fine Slice/Rough Chop) are the exact same icon. Changing the colors of the icons would help differentiate them at a glance.
  • The glossary doesn't include what stats each flavor affects.
  • Encounter descriptions are really cluttered and not easily parse able. Something like Map Level - 1 or even moving it out of the descriptions and into the map would help with clarity.

- Volume sliders would be really nice.

Bugs:

- Game got locked during combat at two different run. First time, I used both Springy Cookies and Stunning Sweets, but I was against a full melee team. My party killed all the front row enemies, but the fighting wouldn't end. Second time, I had no upgrades, and the card selection screen didn't pop up either. This time, there was enemies on both rows. I stopped playing after the second time cause Windows Defender had to stop to scan the file every time I wanted to open it lol

Also, this game could definitely go either: the comfy cooker watching them fight from afar and healing them up vibe, or epic grudging with the team and being in the weeds with them. It's currently doing both with that epic music during the fighting, but the chill section when cooking. The current banner definitely gives off comfy vibes though, so experimenting with that might a good idea.

Hey Mate,

Thanks so much for taking the time to play.

I addressed a bit of your feedback in the latest build i just pushed. Will post some patch notes.
Thanks for reporting those combat bugs, i was aware of snacks causing problems but it's a bit hard to replicate so more info helps!
